The EM-HD-NCP acts as an HDMI monitor by emulating the EDID found in a typical HDMI LCD and by asserting the HPD (Hot Plug Detection) to the HDMI video source. Most PCs and laptops require a special handshake from the display before they output video. This handshake involves reading the EDID table from the monitor.

The EDID contains information such as Native or supported resolutions and Video Formats. Some older equipment may not support the EDID properly and the end result is that you often can't get video from your PC to external display.

If you connect the HDMI output of your laptop to a “dumb” HDMI Switch, you laptop will notice when you switch away from that input since it will notice a disconnect. This interrupts and affects the video on your laptop, especially of you have extended your desktop. You can use the EM-HD-NCP to “fool” your laptop into sensing that it is connected to a monitor regardless of which input is selected on the HDMI switcher.

The Hall Research HD-AUD-IO is an award winning HDMI audio extractor (de-embedder) and inserter (embedder). The product also provides many benefits such as:

The product provides one HDMI input with a corresponding HDMI output. The HDMI input audio signal simultaneously extracts to both 2-channel L/R analog and Digital SPDIF (TOSLINK).

The product provides two audio inputs (analog and digital). Users can select which audio to embed in the HDMI output. It can be the same as the original HDMI audio (pass-thru), SPDIF digital, or 3.5mm L/R analog.

Advanced EDID management allows users to control the video portion as well as the audio part of the EDID. The EDID presented to the video source connected to the HDMI input can pass from the downstream device or emulate an EDID from internal memory. The device can also “Learn” the EDID connected to its HDMI output.

The product has a video bandwidth of 18 Gbps and supports resolutions up to 4K@60 Hz 4:4:4 with HDR. It supports HDCP 2.2 as well as HDCP 1.4 if needed.

This product is a Class A HDBaseT compliant Receiver that supports 100meter Cat6 range and is used to extend HDMI, RS-232, IR, and Ethernet (100BaseT) up to 100 meters (328 feet) using a single Cat6 cable.

Since the product uses the HDBaseT standard, video is extended pixel-by-pixel with no compression or latency. The extender supports all PC and HDTV Resolutions including 4K @ 30 Hz 4:4:4 or 4K @ 60 Hz 4:2:0. The IR extension preserves the modulation (carrier) frequency thereby providing compatibility to most standards.

Receiver includes a universal 5v power supply. IR emitter and IR detector cables are included.

As a member of Genesis Digital Matrix™ series of switchers, the HSM-44-BX matrix provides exceptional quality, intuitive operation and powerful control methods that are hallmarks of Hall Technologies' video matrix switches.

The 4K matrix is a 4×4 cross-point switch in a compact 1-RU enclosure. Each output has integrated video splitter so that simultaneous HDMI and HDBaseT are provided.

The HDBaseT outputs extend HDMI, IR, RS-232, Ethernet, and Power over a single CAT6 cable to 100m (328 ft). The HDBaseT outputs are compatible with all compliant HDBaseT receivers such as the Hall Techonologies' HBX-R which is a cost-effective Receiver that provides HDMI, IR, RS-232 and IP (Ethernet) extension and gets its power from the matrix for maximum convenience.

The HSM-44-BX supports HDMI resolutions up to 4K @ 30 Hz 4:4:4 and 4K @ 60 Hz 4:2:0. It also supports HDCP 2.2 and 1.4, 3D, deep-color. PCM, Dolby, DTS, and HD audio standards. The matrix intelligently calculates EDID for each input based on the EDID of the connected sinks.
